OUR MISSION

Stepping Stones is concentrated on establishing a positive preschool experience for young children.  The intent is to create a fun, nurturing environment which allows children to accomplish tasks successfully to enrich confidence in their self-esteem and bolster a positive attitude towards learning.  We are dedicated to providing young children with appropriate placements and broader learning experiences to establish the foundation to support future success. We thrive on equipping children with the necessary materials that serve to encourage exploration; thought provoking challenges and motivate children to utilize problem-solving capabilities in a stimulating environment.

 Our licensed/certified teachers and staff prepare learning opportunities that are child-directed, developmentally appropriate and initiated on behalf of the child's interest. Teachers serve as tools to provide guidance and support on a continual basis. We have concentrated on preparing young children for their elementary school experience.  Parent involvement is also a major component of the program. Stepping Stones serves to educate families with the necessary resources required to support their children’s developmental needs. In addition, school orientation, parent/teacher conferences and bi-annual child reports render feedback to parents on the progress of their children.
   
Stepping Stones Learning Institute, as an entity, prides itself on the ability to learn as it grows. Program will continue to refine the quality of educational services provided to children and families in order to achieve the worthwhile goal of improving instructional programming for young children.

PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
- The family and child must reside in the city limits of Trenton
- Child must be 3 or 4 years old on or before September 30th of the current school year

PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION DOCUMENTATION

- Birth certificate with parent names to show legal guardianship
- 2 proofs of address (current utility bills, updated lease or mortgage)
- Child Shot Record (child's name must be on the medical record)
- 2 emergency contact numbers
- Parent's photo identification
